Description of Position
We are seeking skilled Commercial Laundry Technicians to join our team to provide outstanding on-site service to WSD customers. Customers include commercial laundries, hospitals, hotels, sports clubs, coin laundries, and more. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial laundry equipment such as washers, dryers, ironers, and folding machines at customers' locations in the western U.S. You will work closely with our sales and service teams to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service and support.
Position Requirements
Candidates must have a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Previous experience in equipment repair and maintenance of commercial laundry equipment, HVAC, or other electrical machinery. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Excellent problem-solving/troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Possess a driver's license with an insurable driving record (WSD's insurance carrier provides coverage)
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to work with WSD customers and WSD associates
- 8-hour shift
- Ability to work in a noisy environment.
- Have the capacity to lift, push and/or move a minimum of 50 lbs
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights
- Be willing to perform overtime work as required
- Understand all basic safety tasks required including safe operation of hand/power tools and other equipment to complete all duties.
- Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with WSD policy and all government mandated safety programs including OSHA or other municipal safety regulations.
- Be willing to travel during the workday and occasionally overnight.
